　　Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment.There were few people on the earth, and natural resources seemed to beunlimited.Today things are different. The world has become too crowded. We areusing up our natural resources,and polluting our environment with dangerouschemicals. If we continue to do this, human life on earth will not survive. Werealize that if too many fish are taken from the sea, there will soon be noneleft. Yet,with modern fishing methods, more and more fish are caught.We knowthat if too many trees are cut down, forests will disappear. Yet, we continue touse powerful machines to cut down more and more trees. We see that if rivers arepolluted with waste products, we will die. Yet, waste products are still putinto rivers.We know that if the population continues to rise at the presentrate, in a few years, there wont be enough food.What can we do to solve theseproblems?If we eat more vegetables and less meat, there will be more foodavailable. Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animalsare kept.Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recyciethem.

　　The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methodsof birth control.Finally, if we educate people to think about the problems weshall have a better and cleaner planet in the future.

　　withoutlimitation.Air pollution and water polloution are very serious .The

　　environmentaround us becomes very terrible.Therefore,we have to stop it and

　　First,we should plant more trees to keep water,which can also make our

　　citybeautiful.Second,we can ride a bike or walk to the school and work.In

　　thisway,we not only save energy,but also reduce the air pollution.Third,we

　　shouldstop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into theair.Fourth,protecting environment should start with me.It s every one s duty to protect the environment.Whenever we see litter on the ground,we should pick itup and throw it into dusbins.Never spit in public.Don’t draw on publicwalls.

　　There are still many environmental protection problems in recent years. Oneof the most serious problems is the air, water and soil serious pollution. Airpollution seriously damage people s health. Polluted water causes diseases anddeath. What s more, vegetation has been greatly reduced, with the rapid growthof modern cities.

　　In order to protect the environment, governments in many countries havedone a lot of work. This paper introduces the legislative measures to controlair pollution, to protect forest resources and Marine resources, to stop anyenvironmental pollution. Therefore, governments are play a most importantfunction of the environmental protection today.

　　I think, in order to protect the environment, the government must take moreconcrete measures. First of all, the government should let people fully realizethe importance of environmental protection, through education. Second, moreefforts should be made to put the population planning policy, because morepeople means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who intentionallydamage the environment should be punished severely. We should let 2 inrecent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air,water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. Thepolluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had beengreatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.On the one hand, theenvironment pollution and destruction are getting worse and worse in the modernworld. On the other hand, the lack of knowledge about the importance ofprotecting environment hinders the solving of the problem. In a word, there is along way to go before we enjoy a clean and comfortable world.

　　To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot.Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect theforest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore,governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protectiontoday.

　　In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even moreconcrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance ofenvironmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should bemade to put the population planning policy into practice, because more peoplemeans more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionallyshould be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environmentmeans destroying mankind themselves.
