on christmas eve, he rides in his flying sleigh lifted by reindeers from house to house to give presents to children. in most countries, it is said that he lives near the north pole. he comes into houses down the chimney at midnight and places presents for the children in socks or bags by their beds or in front of the family christmas tree.

在我幼儿园时，爸妈就开始鼓励我参加英文演讲，我也初生之犊不畏虎，勇于尝试了，可是，得到的结果竟然是忘词、发抖、说错……我在观众面前感到非常尴尬难堪，大家也冷漠的看着怯生生的我。从此，我就开始害怕上台，也不断的逃避。
“失败是成功的垫脚石。”过了不久，一位老师对我这么说，我想了非常久，终于想通了。就在我二年级时，我重新站了起来，在台上顺利的“演完”，也非常的 成功。“第一名——王柏文！”当时我兴奋的像发射的火箭一样，从座位冲到台上，捧着奖杯，和各分校的校长、主任及评审们拍照，那种感觉是用笔墨难以形容的'快乐和光荣。
自从那一次尝到比赛的胜利滋味，我就开始爱上“英文演讲”，之后虽然也有些许失败，不过，也得到不少奖杯和奖牌。我开始以豁达的心面对一切得失，有时候，我还会鼓励同学们积极参加演讲、演说这类可以在台上发表，展现自我的活动。
