It was an evening on 18 November 20xx full of suspense for the final of the Olympism Contest, organised in partnership with the Olympic Museum. Five contestants took part before an enthusiastic, supportive audience made up of close friends, readers of the French daily newspaper and many members of the Friends of the Museum Association.
The contestants competed against each other in a thrilling Going for Gold-style contest. The evening began with three series of questions on the Games of Antiquity, the history of Olympism and the Olympic Games.
The final on Olympic champions then led to Denise Giaccolini, winning two tickets for the Opening Ceremony of the Games in Turin next year, which were offered by the IOC. Urs Lacotte, IOC Director General, personally awarded the prize to the winner.
