　　看完了电影(雷锋)，心潮难平。雷锋那平凡而伟大的形象时常闪现在我的面前，我回到家里，正想写下一点感想，随手翻开报纸，只见上面刊登一则消息，内容是讲美国某军校掀起学雷锋热，学员们争着传抄雷锋的名言已蔚然成风。读后更加感慨万端，这和一部分人提起雷锋精神便发笑的现象形成鲜明的对照。值得人们深思。记得国内曾经有这样的议论:“雷锋精神是否过时了?”可是，没有想到在国外，在资本主义国家里，竟会有人把雷锋作为一个学习的榜样，这就不能不令人感到惊讶了。

　　其实细细想来，倒也不足为奇。雷锋精神虽是以共产主义思想为核心，他的行为虽无时无刻不是遵循着社会主义的道德规范，但这种道德品质是所有正直的人应具备的。也就是说，无论是社会主义国家，还是资本主义国家，只要是一个心地善良的人，他都会发扬互助友爱精神，做有益于他人的事。所以，那些美国士兵不管出于什么样的动机，他们把雷锋作为一个具有优秀品质的人来学习，是可以理解的。

Geologists at Carnegie Mellon University published the results of the research in the September 26th issue of the journal Science.
