Jack这一词在英文中的含义是国王和小丑。Jack希望能像国王一样管理我们，也希望我们能像喜欢小丑一样喜欢他。Jack一词的谐音是：杰克、贼克和大赖。大赖怎么会是Jack的谐音呢？是因为Jack想让我们读英语时嘴巴张大，而且还有一种粘粘的，像嚼口香糖一样的感觉。
他的名字很有趣，他的课讲得也像他的名字一样有趣。
他讲课时的语句简直是“驴唇不对马嘴”——跳跃性思维，让我们不得不紧跟他的思路。比如：他在讲苹果这个词时，一下子就跳到了苹果手机创始人乔布斯；讲感官动词时，又讲起了他面貌的“动人”；在讲巴西这个词时，又讲到了“金砖四国”。
他的.幽默还表现在他很爱给同学起外号。比如：英语课开课第一天，由于我的两颗门牙还没长出来，他就给我起了个“小牙”的外号，后来，他在《生活报》小记者版上看见了我的照片，就问我：“你是《生活报》小记者吧？”从此我的外号就变成了“小记者”，而“小牙”这个外号就OUT了。
他的幽默还表现在他很“坏”，讲课时有自己独特的方式。一次，他出了一道题，一个同学喊出了正确答案，他却说是错的，把许多人都拉进了沟里。没想到，用这种方法讲的题，反而使我过目不忘。又有一次做题时，我喊出了正确答案，老师还想用这种方法骗我们，我早就想到了他的鬼把戏，于是坚持了自己的答案。Jack说：“竟然没被我骗！”Jack以这种独特的方式，让我们记住了许多知识点。
Jack虽然很幽默，但是也有一个缺点：板书不好。第一节课时，同学们叫苦不迭，看不清楚他写的字。Jack说：“我一定改！”结果到现在也没有下文。
