记得在几个星期前，我们英语社团就开始对参演话剧的角色进行了选拔，经过口语、表演动作等方面的重重考核，英文话剧的参演同学终于确定下来了，而我也很幸运地成为其中一员，在剧中扮演狐狸。在接下来的日子里，我们就开始忙碌起来了，经常跑进跑出，一会儿背台词，一会儿练动作，一会儿录音，一会儿彩排……参演的'同学们都练得很认真，都想着在开幕式那天在台上把自己最好的一面拿出来，把这个话剧演好，让所有的同学都能喜欢我们的表演。
我们盼星星，盼月亮，终于盼到了英语节开幕式这天的到来。这天早上，英语社团的同学们都早早地来到了学校，换好了各自的服装，紧张地在台下等候。过了一会儿就轮到我们上台了，我们一个个都表演得比平时排练时还要卖力。我扮演的狐狸虽然台词不多，但我表演的时候非常认真，希望自己的表演能博得同学们的喝彩。
这次的英语节对我来说意义很大，因为我有幸参演了英文话剧，虽然时间很短，但却让我难以忘怀。

记得第一次上课默写单词的时候，我只打了80分，是全班最后一名。我感到很惭愧，为此李老师还和我谈过话，让我发奋努力超过他们。我自己也在心里暗暗地发誓，一定要努力，争取拿第一。
从这以后，老师只要求抄写的，我把它抄得全能默写出来；老师要求得读熟的课文，我把它读得能背下来，还能背得滚瓜烂熟，已至于别的'同学读都没我背得流利；老师要求造5个句子，我把它翻倍，造10个句子。总之，每次我都比老师更严格要求自己。所以，到了第二次上课，读，听，背，写，我都是全班第一了。
为此，李老师为了激力其他的同学，在班上宣布：只要谁赶上或超过了我，就翻倍奖励小盾牌。可是，李老师却在背地里三翻五次的告诫我说："你一定要更加努力，不要停步不前，这样他们会很容易赶上你的。"
听了李老师的话后，我也就更加发奋了。因此，到现在为止，我一直保持着第一的这个位子。
