once upon a time. there was a house. beside the house there was a bird cage. one day a cat went to eat the bird, so the cat jumped and hit the bird cage. the bird cage fell down to the ground knocking the bird cages door open. the bird then flew away. so the cat started to chase the bird and the dog chased the cat. however the bird flew on top of the tree. so the cat started to climb the tree and the dog barked at the cat. before the cat could reach the bird, the bird flew away. this caused the cat to fall out of the tree. the dog then ran away, the bird quickly flew back into his cage and the man from the house carried him safely home.

嗨，我怎么就没想到呢?我连忙跟妈妈说：“妈妈，您这么喜欢英语，咋不学英语吗?”“好主意!”于是，一个愿学，一个愿教，就从今天起，从英语的26个字母学起。(小时候，妈妈家里穷，读到五年级就被迫辍学了。所以只能从最初的26个字母教起。)
A，B，C，D……我一个一个把它写出来，出乎意料，妈妈却说：“有几个我认识的，像这个‘吃’，‘挤’，‘摸’，‘呢’……”看着妈妈得意洋洋的表情，我哭笑不得，敢情妈妈是把字母和拼音混在一起了。我这厢正头疼着，那厢妈妈却一本正经地说：“这不对吗?笑什么!”我暗自叹一口气，妈妈没学过英语，也不怪她了。于是，我学着老师的'样，一个一个教，我读一遍，妈妈读一遍，读错了，就“拼命”帮她纠正。会读了，还得让她写，于是，我又安排她每天的抄写。

第二天早上，我早早的.就起床了，爸爸却还在房间里呼呼大睡。我“闯”进了爸爸的卧室，在他耳边“狂轰乱炸”。爸爸睁开朦胧的双眼，抬起一只手推着我说：“快出去，自己去玩，让我再睡一会儿吧！”“昨晚不是说了早上教你英语吗？难道你不学英语了吗？”爸爸抵不过我的“逼迫”，只得屈服。
等我兴冲冲地举起英语书，爸爸一看到密密麻麻的单词，就想要打退堂鼓。我只好对爸爸进行了一次耐心的说服教育，说：“我今年五年级，我们老师教的我这么小都能学会，你是大人，肯定更可以学会了。”爸爸被我说动了，答应继续学习，我像模像样地教起了这个高徒。
教爸爸读单词，真是“不读不知道，一读笑弯了腰”，我读bag，爸爸却一个“八格”，怎么也都读不准。换一个单词读，爸爸又读错了，可把我这个老师气坏了，反反复复读了十几遍，花了好长时间，老爸总算读对了。怎么这么笨呢？我气得要命，板起脸训斥这个差生。妈妈看到了，在一旁笑得前仰后合。
就这样，半天老爸才学会了四五个单词。但在我的不懈教导之下，一节课的时间爸爸就能学会一个单元的单词了呢。看来，只要肯用心，都是能进步的。
爸爸学英语虽然笑料百出，但让我明白了一个道理：教和学，都不是容易的事儿啊！
