　　My friends and I have made the appointment to hang out on the weekend. But before the day comes, my parents also have plans. They decide to barbecue with my uncle’s family. I want to go with my parents, so I tell lies to my friends. I tell them I am not feeling well. But later I feel regretful. I should be honest.

　　我和我的'朋友们约好周末出去玩，但是在那天到来之前，我父母也做了计划，他们打算和我叔叔他们家一起去烧烤。我想和我的父母一起去烧烤，所以我对我的朋友撒了谎。我跟他们说我身体不舒服。但是后来我就后悔了，我应该诚实一点的。

　　在我学的课程当中英语成绩是最不好的，唉！我以后要怎么办。

　　有一次我问我的爸爸，“为什么我的英语总是学不好，而我的数学却学得顶呱呱呢？”我的爸爸回答说：“不是你学不好而是你偏科而已。”爸爸又说：“英语是世界上最广泛应用的语言，汉语只有我们中国人在用，你们下一代是要走向世界的，只有有了语言的沟通，你们才能和美国、英国、法国、加拿大等等许许多多国家里的.少年英才们互相沟通，互相学习，把我们的世界建设的更加美好，不学习英语怎么能行呢？”

　　我仔细想了想，我之所以没有把英语学好，是因为我没有认识到它的重要性。我再不好好学英语，等我长大后走向未来时，我就成为了外国人眼中的文盲，他们就会瞧不起我，而我是祖国的未来，我怎能为我们国家去丢人！

　　我对爸爸说：“我一定要把英语学好，为我们祖国争光！”
