　　Halloween is a holiday celebrated on October 31. By tradition, Halloween begins after sunset. Long ago, people believed that witches gathered together and ghosts roamed the world on Halloween. Today, most people no longer believe in ghosts and witches. But these supernatural beings are still a part of Halloween.

　　The colors black and orange are also a part of Halloween. Black is a symbol for night and orange is the color of pumpkins. A jack-o'-lantern is a hollowed-out pumpkin with a face carved on one side. Candles are usually placed inside, giving the face a spooky glow.

　　今天由于英语老师出去讲课，所以临时换了一位老师来给我们上课。

　　新老师一进门，便受到了热烈欢迎，这时我细细地端详了一下，此人比起我们班的英语老师显得颇为高大，只不过瘦了一点，架着一副眼镜，看得出，这人很文绉。他在我班同学的掌声下，显得受宠若惊，但随之平静，很谦虚地压了压手，示意我们莫激动，但他殊不知我们班同学的热情犹如清末农民起义，不仅压不倒，而且越压越大，特别是在我周围的同学，跟没见过人似的。过了一会儿，老师怕我们再欢迎下去，天都得弄出个洞来，便在黑板上写“keepquite，please。”写完之后，本以为我们被其随机应变的`能力所折服，回头一看跪得满地都是崇拜者。于是他指了指上面的字，故作高深而不语，霎时间，班内犹如“千山鸟飞绝”，一点声音也没有。老师一看自己的所做所为取得了这么好的效果，心里不禁窃喜，但没想到他还没开始喜，同学们便替他喜出来了，而且是“哄”的一声，犹如开山碎石一般，老师顿时傻了，看见同学们边笑边指着黑板上他的杰作，回头一看，顿时羞得满脸通红，原来自己把“keepquiet”写成了“keepquite”，意思基本上转了个弯，回头看看狂笑不止的同学，他也只有叹气的份了……

　　预备的时间有限，到了上课时间，同学们自动地安静了下来，这时，那位老师开始讲课。毕竟是年轻人，讲课声音洪亮悦耳，时不时还给我们讲道理、哲理和笑话，当感情达到高潮时，还来上一句“这不仅让我想起了我的大学时光……”然后双眼一闭，作自我陶醉状。看他那模样，我估计以前不想上大学的同学们现在也想上了。他给我们上课的另一个突出特点，就是他竟然纠正同学们清浊辅音的发音，这是我们平常上课连想也不敢想的，没想到今天在这里实现了，我自然又加深了对他的好感……

　　转眼间，下课铃响了，老师合上书本，头也不回地走了。我看看他的背影不禁发出感慨：噫！同汝者何人？
