My dormitory room is on the second floor.

Against the wall on your left, pushed into a corner behind the head of the bed, is a large bookcase which is crammed with papers, books, and knick-knacks, Wedged in between the bookcase and the wall opposite the bed is a small grey metal desk. It has a brown wooden chair which seems to fill the left end of the room.Stuffed under the desk is a wooden wastepaper basket overflowing with paper and debris. The wall above the bookcase and desk is completely taken up with two small posters. On the right hand of the room is a narrow closet with clothes,shoes, hats, tennis racquets, and boxes bulging out of its sliding doors. But others take a negative attitude. They don't think language study in early age could foster the top language master. On the contrary, if children begin to study English too early, their study of Chinese would be interfered, and the result is that both their mother tongue and English would be poor. Consequently, I have to agree that English class in primary school is good for children in language learning, but we should not ignore its weak points. So English class in primary schools is good and the class beginning from the fourth grade would be better.

Visit to the Primary School
Yesterday afternoon, my teacher led ten students to a poor primary school in the suburbs. I was one of them. We got there at 3 o'clock and they were in class. So we went to the office first. We took some books, stationery and gadgets for students. We gave them to the school principal directly. I was a little surprised by the environment. There's no gate, no playground and only one building with eight rooms, six of them for classrooms and one for office, the another one for cooking, because some students eat their lunch at school. After a short chat in the office, we went to the classrooms and attended to class. They were all concentrated but the students of Grade One were a little naughty. They moved in chairs often and sometimes talked with neighbors. After class, students gathered on the front of the building and they were pided into five groups that each of them contained two of my classmates. We told stories, sang songs and played small games. All of my classmates were impressed by this visit and we hoped that we could go there again.

English is one of the most important subjects. I like English very much. However, I am not good at English because I always make some mistakes in the English test. It was the time for an English test yesterday.
Our English teacher, Emmy, came into the classroom with some test papers under her arm. She wore a smile on her face, and then she said, “OK. The test will begin. I hope that you will try your best to do it well. If you are careful enough, you will get a good result.” At first, I felt a little nervous. But when I heard her words, I calmed down. I said to myself, “I can do better than before.”·
At the beginning of the test, I came across some difficult problems. I did not know what to do. I was very worried. I kept saying to myself, “I must calm down. Then I can work them out.” A few minutes later I worked these problems out. I felt very happy.
Then I went on working on my test. Thirty minutes later, I finished my test.· I thought I could get more than 97 points for this test because the questions were not very hard. But when I saw my points, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
I only got 93 points. I was very surprised. I made some careless mistakes in the English test. I thought hard but I only got 93 points. There are two reasons. Firstly, although I worked hard, I didn’t work hard enough.
Other students work harder than I did. Secondly, I wasn’t careful enough. I am a careless girl. I think if I can become a careful girl, I will get more points. I believe I can. I will try my best to learn English well.
