　　My name is Nick. I’m in Grade 9. Today, I really want to join this activity, because I really want to do something to help people.

　　I joined a volunteer activity when I was young. I really enjoyed it. For example, I did many good things for old people, such as cleaning up the yards, washing the vegetables and so on. They are all things that I can do them well. So I have realized showing your warm heart to the old is very important. Of course, donating your kindness is helpful a lot.

　　In my opinion, making them happy is one of the best ways to help them. So if I have this chance, I can clean up their rooms, cheer them up and sing songs or tell stories for them. As we all know, on the one hand, we can help the old people to live better. On the other hand, helping others is helping ourselves.

　　第一次知道新概念英语是在电视上，但我并不相信所谓的速记30天学会。后来在20xx年我看到了正版的原书也知道电视上的不过是傍名牌的盗版而已。为了让英语更好，我就慢慢学习。四本书买回来算是吓了一跳，内容估计比小学加初中的还要多，我又属于自学，于是我选择了一条笨路：开始死记硬背单词。这并不是一个好方法，根据我近年来的经验应该从课文语法入手，单词不用强记，多看自然会。但是既然选择了这条路，只能一路向前，因为时间有限只能在寒暑假背。就这样我在20xx年7月1日正式开始了这段历程。一开始一天背20个，一个暑假就背掉了第一册，但是我发现不经过巩固，过段时间就忘了，我不得不重新复习。随着时间流逝，上个暑假我的日任务已经越来越重——新背的.一天50个，复习一天200个，而且两项通常要一起做，不过辛苦已经有回报了。20xx年8月12日，我全部背完了4册共计约4500个单词，并在暑假里全部复习多遍。

　　但是不会活用是不行的。这些单词的优势就只限于少花背单词的时间或者阅读中猜生词，词意直接知道，这没什么巨大优势，所以以这个寒假开始要通课文，因为大部分已经学过所以进度快，大约一天四课（如果我花更多点时间比如90分钟在上面也许一天可做10课）。

　　通过这几年对新概念英语的学习，也让我知道没有随随便便的成功。徐可易之的强也是因为他花了更多的时间，懒，人人都有，克服是不容易的。要我在假期里保持学校的高强度也是不可能，就让我保证一天用上6小时在学习上吧。

While in China, the situation is very different. Children can see any movie. I think the movie rating system is in need. As a kid, it is not suitable to watch too much violence and sex stuff in the screen. Some kids will be very curious and like to imitate, then some of them will do criminal things. Or some children will feel really bad after seeing the disgusting shots, which may have negative effect on them for a lifetime. Parents need to think of their children when they go to the theater.

　　爸爸给我不一样的学习理念；记得我还在读幼儿园大班的时候。每次看见爸爸不在家的时候，我就偷偷地打开电脑来玩游戏，几次都被爸爸发现了。后来他给我下载了“摩洛幼儿英语”，并严肃地跟我说：“你要玩游戏就给我玩英语游戏，玩英语游戏，你高兴了爸爸也高兴了，英语又学到了，一举多得，不然你别想碰电脑。”看着他苍白的头发和严肃的表情，我只好“妥协”了。

　　兴趣敲开了我的英语学习之门；当我打开“摩洛幼儿英语”APP，.好奇的我一瞬间被里面精彩的内容吸引住了。古怪而新奇的动画，是那么的让我入迷；清脆而动听的声音，是那么的顺我耳；回答正确后软件里传出来的的那句“你真棒”，时时让我心里美滋滋的；钓鱼游戏收获“鱼”的感觉给了我巨大的满足感；尤其大炮打气球的`游戏，胜利的感觉是那么的让人如此的陶醉，让我玩得不能自拔......。在游戏中学习的感觉就是不一样，棒极了！从此，我深深地喜欢上了英语这门学科。

　　现在的我，已经逐渐把英语融入了生活。每星期都会挑英语动画，英语电影看看，在里面可是增长我的不少知识，过去时将来时复数形式......，在我面前已经显得那么的简单；我还经常随口跟不懂英语的爸爸说几句英语，把他搞得像丈二和尚——摸不着头脑，好玩极了；每日坚持听2节精彩的英语课，更让我学会了很多很多初中以上的英语知识，让我收获满满。
