　　Many students ask why they shouldlearn to give speeches. They often argue that they don’t plan to bepoliticians, members of board, or company presidents. Students think that those are the only careers that require public speaking but overlook the fact that most of the thousands of speeches delivered every day are given by average people. The coach who explains and demonstrates the right way to make a lay-upis giving a speech. So are the police officer who speaks to second graders about not talking to strangers and the parent who reports to 110 about atraffic accident.

　　If you think about it, you’ve given and listened to more speeches than you realize. It only makes sense tostudy how to do it well, because speech-making is such an important part of your daily life. Most good speakers learn the speech-making skills; they weren’t born with them. 　　Huamei is the garden as well as a school we live and study in. It has more green trees than the classrooms. When you come into our school，you can see two tall buildings．In the buildings there are two computer rooms，an art room，a music room a library and many classrooms． I like to go to the library，because I like reading books．My teachers often tell us:“Reading is good for you．”Near the buildings there is a big playground．We can play football，basketball and games on it．

　　My school is far away from the city, the air here is fresh and bright, we have some special activates except the normal classes. Every Monday and Wednesday’s afternoon, we join our favorite clubs ,there are Sports Club, Music Club, Art Club, Writing Club and so on. It is important for us to join some clubs, because we can have fun and learn something new about other things.

　　The students come from different country. We study and play together. We get up early to do exercise in the morning ,when you come to our school very early, you can see many lovely children are doing the morning exercise, they run after each other, they jump to the trees, sit on the 3 elephants, play with their dear teachers, it is very peaceful.

　　The teachers here are kind and nice. They are not only our teachers but also our friends. My school is wonderful, I want to grow up at my school.

　　Let's talk about our school's cleanliness. I think we still have a lot to do with it. First, we should clean the whole school at least txice a day. Second, I know many students like eating lunch in the playground so that they can have more time to play basketball or play football. I think it is really a bad habit. We should protect our school's cleanliness, not destory! In some ways, our shcool is not very clean. But it is much better now than before. I hope our school will be much cleaner. That's all. 　　来到教室里，那里已经有十几位同学了，我有点紧张。一会儿，上课了，一位年轻的女教师走了进来，她笑着跟我们打招呼：“大家好，以后大家就叫我MissLin吧！”MissLin很亲切，她和我们一起唱歌、玩游戏、跳舞，还教了我们几个单词：morning、aftenrnoon、evening……我们都学得津津有味。接着，MissLin教我们做动作，把四个表示时间的单词用手势表示出来，然后，MissLin让我和另一个人比赛，看谁的反应比较快。MissLin说：“noon”我做出了相应的`动作，很愦憾，比对手慢了一点。我心想：“这次我一定不能输。”于是，我竖起耳朵，仔细地听一下单词。接着老师又分别念出“morning、aftenrnoon、evening”等单词，我立刻做出相应的动作，这几次就比对手快了一些，我终于赢了。MissLin奖给了我一块小贴纸，上面有一只可爱的小松鼠，我高兴极了。最后，我还得到老师奖给我的一只小狸猫呢！
