众所周知，南外是一所以外语见长的学校，而其中擅长英语的“精英”们，更是数不胜数。进入这所学校后，我才明白自己的英语多么欠缺，于是，我就开始了“漫漫”的学英语之路。殊不知这是一条苦乐交织的路。
苦
“天啊，为什么每天的英语单词都这么多啊！”几乎天天都能听到我和同学们的感叹。回想小学时，一学期也学不了多少新词。而现在，英语笔记本是消耗最大的一本本子，甚至一天学的生词，与一学期的相差无几。繁重的英语单词“压”得我喘不过起来，就连写其他作业时，我嘴里也不时轻声念叨着。
最怕的，还是英语考试了。我像极了寓言中写到的那个捡一个玉米棒掉一个的大灰熊：面对厚厚一本英语本，看着那些以前学过，可现在早已忘记的单词，我的大脑一片空白——当然，考试成绩也不尽如人意。学英语，真是一件“苦差事”啊！
乐
当然，学英语也并非完全在苦海里“挣扎”。南外的英语课，充满了趣味：每节课都会播放一首英文歌，课前也有同学上讲台演讲。而且老师们一直在教我们地道的'句型和实用的表达方法。我永远也不会忘记，当逛商场时发现药店门口写着pharmacy时的激动；坐地铁时看到Olympicstadium的激动……我感到所有事物正以一种从未有过的方式重组，正如用截然不同的方法诠释整个世界。大概这就是学英语的魅力所在了吧！
学英语，有苦也有乐，因为事实上学习就是一个苦乐交织的过程。那么就让这句话来激励我自己吧：“路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索。”

之前，英语是我的弱项；后来，英语成为了我的强项。这之间，让我懂得了坚持的力量。
失败
之前，英语是我最差的一项，于是，我被强迫着去上昂立英语。
一进门，迎来的是新同学们的目光，他们上下打量着我。第一次课，我百无聊赖地上完，几乎什么也没有听进去。
第二次课，老师说要测验，我心里一惊，“怎么办？我回家一点也没有复习”。
发成绩单了，我心里一阵紧张，“argon，九十五，mary，九十八……aaron七十九”老师说到我的'时候，还皱了皱眉头，我的心情也瞬间跌到了谷底。
努力
回到家，我的心情沮丧不已，天公仿佛也知道了我的心思，阴沉沉的，下起了雨来。“回来啦？”妈妈的一声呼唤打破了寂静，“嗯！”说完我就一溜烟地跑进了自己的房间，开始搜查“如何学好英语”的答案。突然我发现老师在微信上给我发了一条消息：
“你想学好英语吗？”我回答：“嗯！”
“你上次在家复习了吗？”“没有。”
“从现在开始，你要做好这三步：课前预习，上课认真听讲，课后好好复习。”“知道了，谢谢老师！”
说完，我开始认真复习英语。
成功
第三次，考试时，我胸有成竹地写完了试卷。
报成绩了，我考了满分，出门的一刹那，我感觉到这冬天的阳光温暖了许多。
那以后我坚持好的学习习惯，英语再也不是我的弱项了，而是我最好的一项，同时，我也忘不了老师对我的教育。

无论做什么事，兴趣最重要，如果没有兴趣，就会事倍功半。学英语也一样，有兴趣才会学得好。妈妈带我到了卓越英语，先让我试读一下，看看有没有兴趣。上课了，一位年轻的老师走进教室，先让我们听一首叫《丑小鸭》的英语歌，一边播放音乐，一边表演，挺有意思的。老师教的内容其实就是歌里唱的内容。我目不转睛地盯着老师的一举一动，两节课学得很专心，也很有兴趣。于是，妈妈帮我报了名，我便成了卓越英语的一员。
我被编入B31班，学习《英语语音过关》。教我们这一班的是曾老师，国字脸，鼻梁上架着一副近视眼镜。他总让我们在快乐中学习知识，我们都很喜欢他。同时，我还认识了两类同学，一类是吵吵闹闹、爱开小差的捣蛋鬼，另一类是安安静静、用心学习的好学生。在卓越英语，每个同学都有自己的英文名字，我的英文名字叫Tony（托尼），可大家都叫我“掏泥”。
在卓越英语，我学得很努力，老师一教我就懂，字写得也不错，老师经常夸我。但我记性不大好，有时候举起手来想发言，却不知道说什么。我想，这是基础不扎实的缘故，还得多下功夫。
于是，我不仅在学校里学，还在家里学。老师发给我们每人两张《英语语音过关》碟片，让我们在家里听。下午和晚上家里的台式电脑被姐姐“统治”着，所以，我每天早上很早起来听碟片读英语。每天放学回家，都要进行巩固，攻守并进。我的.家庭作业几乎都是对的。
