在我幼儿园时，爸妈就开始鼓励我参加英文演讲，我也初生之犊不畏虎，勇于尝试了，可是，得到的结果竟然是忘词、发抖、说错……我在观众面前感到非常尴尬难堪，大家也冷漠的看着怯生生的我。从此，我就开始害怕上台，也不断的逃避。
“失败是成功的垫脚石。”过了不久，一位老师对我这么说，我想了非常久，终于想通了。就在我二年级时，我重新站了起来，在台上顺利的“演完”，也非常的 成功。“第一名——王柏文！”当时我兴奋的`像发射的火箭一样，从座位冲到台上，捧着奖杯，和各分校的校长、主任及评审们拍照，那种感觉是用笔墨难以形容的快乐和光荣。
自从那一次尝到比赛的胜利滋味，我就开始爱上“英文演讲”，之后虽然也有些许失败，不过，也得到不少奖杯和奖牌。我开始以豁达的心面对一切得失，有时候，我还会鼓励同学们积极参加演讲、演说这类可以在台上发表，展现自我的活动。
